I am unsure what you mean "restore factory IR settings"? Are you talking
about Canon's UV/IR blocking filter that blocks IR? There are clip filters
for many tasks - I own 4 of them but none replicate Canon's filter. One
extends the red band sensitivity to cover H-alpha but a Custom WB will make
it look like a regular colour camera. But my 60D has a clear glass filter
inside.

Perhaps I can understand better what your intentions are if you mention
what mod you are performing on the XSi.

I own or have owned 7 modified cameras.
